Sulphur-yellow Sentence Examples

Crystals of sulphur are transparent or translucent and highly refractive with strong birefringence; they have a resinous or slightly adamantine lustre, and present the characteristic sulphur-yellow colour.

C. alpinus, 6 in., grows in dense tufts, and bears sulphur-yellow flowers in May.

The stems are about 1 foot high, and bear sulphur-yellow flowers, 1 1/2 inches across, showy in August and September when several are expanded.

P. californicus is a pretty Californian hardy annual Poppywort, forming a dense tuft, studded thickly in summer with sulphur-yellow blossoms.

Rhododendron Lanatum - The young branches, both surfaces of the leaves, and the petioles are covered with a dull white or tawny tomentum; the sulphur-yellow flowers are 2 inches across.
