Make vegan sushi by wrapping avocados, carrots, cooked sweet potato, and other plant-based fillings with sushi rice in a nori sheet.
To make a standard roll, you need nori (sheets of flat seaweed), a wooden rice paddle, a rolling mat, and Japanese sushi rice.
Cook the rice as directed on the package, and spread a thin portion of it on most of a nori sheet.
Finally, roll up the nori sheet tightly, pressing the ends together at the top.
When served cold, look for zaru udon which is udon topped with nori.
Its creative appetizers include tempura ahi wrapped in nori; steamed clams with kalua pig; and roasted duck nachos with homemade tapioca chips.
