The Lord of the Dance and its creator Michael Flatley have become one of the great success stories of the modern theatrical age.

Like its predecessor Riverdance, Flatley's show brought the art of Irish stepdancing to larger audiences all over the world.

It is impossible to talk about Lord of the Dance without talking about Michael Flatley.

Deciding that he wanted to create a show that would be playable not only in traditional theatres but also in arena-size venues, Flatley began working on The Lord of the Dance.
