Romans stands on an eminence on the right bank of the Isere, a fine stone result will be the inclusion of all Israel in the heritage of the messianic kingdom of Christ.
He returned to France in 1801, and in the following year he was nominated prefect of Isere, and was created baron and chevalier of the Legion of Honour.

Of Geneva the Rhone enters French territory, and henceforth till near Lyons forms first the eastern, then the southern boundary of the French department of the Ain, dividing it from those of Haute Savoie and Savoie (E.) and that of the Isere (S.).
But during this half of its course it can boast of having on its left bank (the right bank is very poor in this respect) such historical cities as Vienne, Valence, Avignon, Tarascon and Arles, while it receives (left) the Isere, the Drome and the Durance rivers, all formed by the union of many streams, and bringing down the waters that flow from the lofty snowy Dauphine Alps.
Between Lyons and the sea, the Rhone divides four departments on its right bank (Rhone, Loire, Ardeche and Gard) from as many on its left bank (Isere, Drome, Vaucluse and Bouches du Rhone).
In 1798 he was elected to the council of Five Hundred by the department of Isere, and became one of its secretaries; and in the following year he voted against the Directory.
On the second restoration he retired into private life; but from 1819 to 1822 he was representative of the department of Isere, and after the July revolution he was made a peer of France.
It is situated in the French department of the Isere, about 12'1 m.
